Painting graffiti, also known as "tagging", is a
crime. If you see someone tagging property please call 9-1-1 immediately,
however if it's not gang related and under $2,500 please complete a Dallas Online
Report.
If you see graffiti in your neighborhood, please report it to the Department of
Code Compliance. You can either call 3-1-1 or make a service request online.
City Ordinance: SEC. 31-39.1 Possession of Graffiti Implements Prohibited
Punishable by a fine of not less than $200 or more than
$500.
A parent or guardian of a minor could be cited also.
Graffiti is a crime: Penal
Code 28.08 and is punishable by 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.
